Lean meats are those that have less fat than regular beef. These types of meats are leaner and healthier than fatty meats. Lean meats are low in saturated fats and high in protein. 2. Grass-fed meat
Grass-fed meat comes from animals that eat grass instead of grains. Grass-fed meat is considered to be of higher quality than grain-fed meat. Grass-fed meat contains more omega-3 fatty acids and conjugated linoleic acid (CLA). CLA is a type of polyunsaturated fatty acid that helps fight cancer and heart disease. Omega-3 fatty acids are also known to improve brain function and help prevent depression.
3. Pastured meat
Pastured meat is meat from animals that live outside and eat natural foods. Animals raised pastured are not given antibiotics or hormones. Pastured meat is lower in fat and higher in vitamins and antioxidants than conventional meat.

Wild game meat is meat from animals hunted in their natural habitat. Game meat is often leaner than farm-raised meat because the animals don't receive much food. However, wild game meat does contain some fat.

6. Organic meat
Organic meat is meat that was grown without using pesticides or hormones. Organic meat is higher in nutrients and lower in fat than nonorganic meat.
7. Grass-fed poultry
Poultry is meat from chickens and turkeys. Poultry is lower in fat than red meat and is considered to be healthier. Grass-fed poultry is higher in omega-3 fatty acids, CLA, and vitamin E.
